"The Proverbial Proverb"
Original rug hooked art inspired by words and sayings. Rug Hooking artist Gail Horton selects some of her favorite rugs made by her students and friends. In The Nugent Barn on the grounds of the Rogers Mansion, 17 Meeting House Lane, Southampton. On through October 2, 2010.
"Saving Our Landscape Heritage: Paintings and Photographs of the East End" Art Exhibit by the Plein Air Peconic Artists
Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. $4/free for members and children. Rogers Mansion, 17 Meeting House Lane.
The Legacy of Samuel Longstreth Parrish The dining room of the Rogers Mansion has been arranged to represent a luncheon honoring Cardinal Gibbons hosted by Mr. Parrish in the early 20th century. Faithfully recreated based on Mr. Parrish's inventory records, the room features a salon-like display of 20th century prints and photographs, fine furniture and place settings. An exhibition on Mr. Parrish's fascinating life and important contributions is also be on display. Open Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. $4/free for members and children. Rogers Mansion, 17 Meeting House Lane.
